About Us - History and Achievements

Stem Town, Inc. have played a leading role in helping youths to understand that education is their first step toward self-reliance, career employment and financial security. Our community program has grown from 1 component to 6 over the last 10 years. During the same time period, the program has gone from 25 participants to 101; with a waiting list of 201 seeking entry into the program for 2019. We have tutored, counseled and trained 845 youths and young adults for their high school diplomas and equivalencies. We have increased participants' stem, technology employment, entrepreneurs and financial literacy skills, with 460 participants going on to community and four year colleges so far. We have found 490 entry and mid-level jobs with small businesses and corporations and four successful entrepreneurship start-ups. With 99-101 participants who participated in the program each year,98% have advanced their academic grade level by 2 or more years over the program's 12 months period. As a part of our motivation and youth encouragement initiative, we promote tolerance, inclusion and diversity to develop well-rounded program participants.
