Donate - Appeal Letter
Dear Decision Makers :
We are requesting funding from you for our enclosed program components to continue our efforts to change two decades of academic deficiencies and ongoing community tragedies in the inner city neighborhoods of Buffalo, New York. We are taking on the tough issues that are facing these neighborhoods. We believe our situation is so compelling we deserve your support beyond your geographic and main focus areas of funding. The reason is that people with academic, Aggression and anger management problems can affect us all at any location. We would like to share with you some of our everyday experiences confronting our program components efforts.
Before we get started, our board, staff and volunteers have outstanding qualifications with community involvement experience. The program works from the premise, that survival at an individual and societal level depends on some technological and relevant skills. The program serves children, youths, youths with learning disabilities and young single mothers between the ages of 5 - 21 years. These youths are unskilled, unemployed; and they live in poverty with aggression and anger management problems.
We approach this difficult task each day with enthusiasm and passion. Our lives are at-risk in these high crime and drug infested neighborhoods where violence is a daily occurrence. This is the reason why these neighborhoods make the evening news every day. We are dealing with the elements of fear, domestic violence, and other behavioral problems. We seek to raise these youths' moral reasoning abilities, reduce their aggression and improve their stem and digital education, employment and entrepreneurship skills, fitness and nutrition wellness.
Decision Maker and General Public, We are asking you to work in the trenches with us for a while just to see what a difference your personal and professional decision could make in the lives of these youths and neighborhoods. This appeal is unusual and we hope it will make a difference to you personally. You can make a difference for a dedicated group of individuals trying to save lives, maybe our own. We are not in this to seek publicity of any kind, just results for a community in need of some real help.
Western New York has very few major corporations and foundations here. Therefore, in order to be successful, it is imperative that the program obtains support from within as well as outside the city of Buffalo, New York. To secure your help, we will be calling you to answer any questions you may have to secure your help. This is your opportunity to help make a difference. Our program needs some heroes.
We want to thank you for taking your valuable time and for having the courage to even consider the enclosed request. Your decision to help will make a significant difference.
Sincerely,
Louis Hill
Executive Director
