Giving is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To assure that your Contribution merits the respect and trust of the general public and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in our organization , we declare that all donors have these rights:
- To be informed of our organization's mission and the way the organization intends to use gifts and of its capacity to use gifts effectively for their intended purposes.
- To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization's Board of Directors and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment.
- To have access to the organization's most recent financial statements.
- To be assured that your contribution, donation or gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
- To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
- To be assured that information about your contribution is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals representing the organization will be professional in nature.
- To be informed whether those seeking gifts are volunteers, employees or hired solicitors.
- To feel free to ask questions when making a contribution, donation or gift and to receive prompt, truthful and forth right answers.
Privacy & Security
Purpose:
To protect the organization's Board of directors, officers, committee members, employees, donors, beneficiaries and affiliated agencies, and the individuals transacting organization business via the organization's website, from the disclosure of nonpublic and/or private information, consistent with strict professional standards of confidentiality and all applicable laws and regulations.
Non Disclosure of information
Limited Disclosure: The organization will not sell, share or otherwise distribute or disclose nonpublic and/or private information (i.e., personal, business, financial), except as: (1) required by law, (2) authorized in writing by the person(s) concerned, or (3) required to maintain the security of the organization's assets, property, possessions or information technology systems.
Restricted Access: The organization maintains records of contributions, donations and gifts received. Access to those records is restricted to persons who need to know such information and who are bound by this Privacy Policy.
Research and Information: The organization conducts research for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of potential donors. All information gathered is considered confidential. Any requests for information are made in writing on organization letterhead. The organization's website collects or discloses information only if an individual consents to such collection or disclosure.
Website Security: The organization has implemented safeguards to preserve the integrity of its website and information technology systems.
The organization's Website Links to Third Parties. The organization's website is not links to websites that are operated and controlled by third parties.
Anonymity. The organization will honor any donor's request to remain anonymous or to be omitted from any of its lists.
