STEM & Digital Education
Our Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (stem) component provides a specialized curriculum and hands-on events to give children and youths opportunities to deepen their skills and interests in stem education and technology innovation, including stem and digital workshops, game design and web-making. We build on participants' interest in creating and building new technologies. Participants brainstorm and present technology projects that addresses a social need, developing their skills and experiences with technology mentors in real life professional settings. Our programs provide children and youth development for the digital age, leveraging the technologies that young people are already curious about to introduce them to skills, ideals and pathways that will enable them to become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
Our skills specialist trainers provide a technology support team for the program that take on important roles that give them the chance to lead, build confidence in their ideas, and become the makers of change for the world around them. The program empowers underserved children and youths to learn, lead and create with technology, preparing them with skills essential for their academic and career success. The stem program has been a life changing experience for many of our program participants. They feel good about their role with technology, which builds their confidence and make them more successful in school as well as in the future.
Our program create hands-on learning opportunities for under-served participants to engage in learning, experimenting, and interacting with the latest technologies to build 21st century skills. Our goal is to provide participants with access to new technologies and help them become interested and fluent in digital learning while developing skills to help better prepare them for their future and career success.
The program seeks to improve the quality of stem learning in the inner city neighborhoods of Buffalo, New York after school and foster effective communication among children and youth, their families and teachers, administrators, informal educators and community leaders. To develop a shared vision and set of goals for improving stem education in the inner city community neighborhoods by creating an inclusive and respectful collaborative process that brings skills specialist trainers, teachers from classroom and informal setting, parents/guardians and community leaders together in appropriate workshops. To develop an effective research-based leadership and stem programs for all levels of learner, including children and youth, and also class-room teachers. We will build new stem skills sets and grow from the personal interests and needs of the learners involved.
We document and monitor project progress, in order to refine our model and ensure that our goals are accomplished and based on a foundation of rigorous research and evaluation. Participants have an opportunity to develop and practice life long learning skills in real world contexts, find supportive mentors, particularly peers and adults other than parents who can provide guidance and supervision as youths practice and experiment with lifelong learning skills.
We provide participants with places where they can develop their technology skills that will inspire future education and career choices. We strive to leverage our local community presence, our technology resources and our talented trainers to provide new and creative programs to serve and increase technology skills in buffalo, New York. The Programs encourage teens to learn, experiment, collaborate and play with technology so that they will become excited about learning and develop skills and experiences to help them succeed academically and in future careers.
Digital Literacy
Technology know-how is crucial for our program participants to expand their digital knowledge and those preparing to enter the job market for the first time. Our stem and digital literacy program component is bridging the digital divide, its opening doors to opportunity with technology training and tools that transform underserved participants from consumers to creators – a new generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, designers and dreamers.
Over the last five years talent services stem & digital literacy program component has been a catalyst for the rise of technology as a means to improve virtually every aspect of our program participants lives. We are committed to providing the underserved hands-on access to the tech education and tools they need to be successful in school and in their future careers. We feel with our skills specialist trainers knowledge and experience , we are in position to bridge the digital divide in these underserved neighborhoods and communities when and where young people need us most.
We will continue to incorporation cutting-edge technology into our current community program components. We add computer maintenance, programming , website design, digital photography/ graphic design and audio production, Videography and film making ,Coding, 3d printing, games and mobile app development, video and digital cameras, professional software, (including music mixing & recording), and robotics in 2018.
We test each skill sets to gather skills achievements and performance.

Each skill cluster is further broken down into representative skill sets, which offer guidance on recognizing our program participants performance in developing 21st century skills. To meet our mission we Provide effective technology support for audio/visual, computer, multimedia, voice and web-based applications and services. We provide the highest level of technology training-based services to our program participants, underserved youths and young adults single mothers.
